The title holder women's champions come from Ukraine, from the town Ivano-Frankivsk. The women's 3x3 basketball team of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University took the top step of the podium at the EUG 2022 in Łódź. However, the team from the Ukrainian university also did well on the traditional court, finishing the tournament with a silver medal.

The team, led by Olena Zernyk, are therefore in good shape and, as current champions, will be one of the favourites for the continental tournament at the University of Debrecen, which starts on 15 July. The team's preparation is greatly helped by the fact that its main player, Veronika Kosmach, represented her country at the European Games in June and got extra experience.
