The medals for the European Universities 3x3 Basketball Championship, which starting on Saturday, are ready. The pieces of this wonderful collection are perfectly in line with the official logo of the event, which was inspired by the important symbols of the host city, Debrecen," says Tibor Pöszmet, the member of the organising committee responsible for graphics.

"The Debrecen Flower Carnival is one of the city's iconic events, and it is no exaggeration to say that it is a globally recognised and very popular event for the city. In Debrecen in the summer, almost everything is about colourful flowers and with it, the bubbling fun. Also intertwined with the name of the city is one of the favourite sports of university students, 3x3 basketball. And the third symbol was the Hungarian flag, so we dreamed up this logo, based on flower petals, in red, white and green and basketball colours."

The organising committee received great feedback on the logo, so there was no question that its shape and colours could be adapted one by one for the medals for the best of the best. This is how the 3x3 EUC medals were born, which will be with us for 7 days only, after which they will be awarded to the winners.
