The organising University of Debrecen will participate with both men's and women's teams in the European Universities 3x3 Basketball Championship starting on Saturday. The men's foursome includes Bence Neuwirth, a basketball player from the Hungarian top-flight university sports club, who is expecting a great atmosphere for the tournament.

In just five days, the most important international sporting event of the summer, the European Universities 3x3 Basketball Championship, will begin on the square in front of the Main Building of the University of Debrecen

Bence Neuwirth, an economics student at Unideb, will swear the athletes' oath at the opening ceremony.

"The University's Main Campus will be an excellent venue, we will be playing in a very nice environment. The whole point of this event is probably to make sure that everyone has a good time, because it's a tournament with a great atmosphere. The organising team is preparing for the tournament in an extremely professional way, so we expect everything to be in place for a great atmosphere for a basketball fiesta."
